The University of
Texas at Tyler Mathematics Department
Undergraduate Research Experience Summer 2006
with funding from the National Security
Agency
Applications are sought from undergraduates
interested in spending part of their summer
participating in mathematics research projects.
Topics to be explored include:
Students will work individually with one of
the faculty advisors above. The program
will tentatively run for eight weeks starting
June 5 - July 28, 2006. Participants will
receive a $3,200.00 stipend. Applicants must be
citizens or permanent residents of the United
States.
Student applicants should be full-time
undergraduate students as of September 2006.
The program will be conducted on the campus
of UT Tyler. All of the faculty advisors
have extensive experience in mentoring high
quality undergraduate research projects.
The deadline for applying is May 1, 2005.
Notification of awards will be made shortly
thereafter.
