UT Tyler now has a university-wide license for Mathematica. Depending on your particular needs, there are a variety of different ways to get Mathematica installed where you need it.
-
Student home computers. UT Tyler students can now get Mathematica for their home computers for the reduced price of $30. It is available only in the UT Tyler bookstore. This $30 buys the student a one-year license which runs from February 1 to February 1. Note: This means that if you pay $30 in January, the password will expire in less than one month!
-
Faculty/staff home computers: UT Tyler faculty and staff can now get FREE home use of Mathematica. You must register online for the software and get a password mailed to you from the software vendor.
- Networked campus computers. If your computer or computers are connected to the network, you can have Mathematica installed in such a way that you never have to deal with the yearly password cycle. Campus Computing Services will install Mathematica for you. Alternatively, contact Casey Mann cmann@uttyler.edu if you have special needs.
- Non-networed campus computers. If you have a computer that is not connected to the network, you can still have Mathematica installed. The caveat is that you will have to enter a new password for the software once per year. Campus Computing Services will install Mathematica for you. Alternatively, contact Casey Mann cmann@uttyler.edu if you have special needs.
